Marc
de Garidel
Director
Marc de Garidel is Vice President of Amgen International in charge of the
South Region since January 2007. Prior to that, he was VP Southwest Europe
since January 2006.Hired in 1995 to build the financing strategy of the
group in Europe, he became VP Finance and Corporate Controller between 1998
and June 2000 and VP and General Manager Amgen France until December 2005.
Before joining Amgen Marc de Garidel had 10 years of different responsibilities
at Eli Lilly France, US and Germany. In France he was, until recently, President
of LEEM's Biotechnology Committee. Marc is also the vice-president of EBE
since May 2006.
Bernard Gilly
Director
Bernard Gilly has been a Partner at Sofinnova Partners from 2000 to November
2005. He founded or invested in several companies, including Sequoia Pharmaceuticals
(USA), Faust Pharmaceuticals (France) and Cellzome (Germany). Prior to joining
Sofinnova, Bernard has been President and CEO of Transgene, a company he
has driven from its early financing round in 1994 to its listing on the
Nasdaq and the Nouveau Marché in March 1998, successfully raising a total
of 160M€ . He was able to sign two key strategic partnerships with Schering-Plough
and with Human Genome Sciences. Prior to joining Transgene, Bernard spent
6 years as VP R&D at Pasteur-Merieux-Connaught, the vaccine company
that since then became Sanofi Pasteur. He was managing 1200 scientists and
development engineers in three main facilities (France, USA and Canada)
and was a member of the Executive Committee of the group. Bernard Gilly
is co-founder, Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of Fovea
Pharmaceuticals, recently acquired by Sanofi-aventis.
Alain
Benisty
Director, representative of Vizille Capital Innovation
Alain Benisty joined Banque de Vizille in 2002 to set up its Venture Capital
department. He serves as Managing Director of Vizille Capital Innovation
since then. His experience in the venture capital spans over 20 years, including
various positions at Sofimac (from 1984 to 2007) and Sudinnova (from 1989).
Alain Benisty is a graduate of the Clermont-Ferrand Business School.
